Arnold Friedman |
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF.
Let a former newspaper editor help you find just the right words to express your thoughts. I retired after 42 years editing newspapers and teaching journalism, and am now a freelance writer and book editor. I am a writer's editor who has edited books for first-time writers and scholarly publications; papers for students and job applicants; you name it, I've done it. I am a careful, thoughtful, nitpicking editor who prides himself on making the document I'm working on the best it can be. I like to work closely with authors. I try not to rewrite but to improve, not to over-edit but to hone the author's words. I'm speedy without being hasty, computer literate and I never miss a deadline. The 20-plus books I've worked on in the past three years attest to my abilities. I hope I can edit for you.
Resume available on request. My rates are reasonable and I can work by the hour, by the page or by the job. Try me; I think you'll be pleased with the
result. Arnold Friedman. Email: arnif@aol.com

Jan Martin |
I'm an enthusiastic writer/editor with over 20 years of experience with particular training in the
area of environmental review. From 1990 to 1999 I edited the printed word for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). I was editor for a three-volume Shoreline Management Initiative Environmental Impact Statement
and also wrote effective NEPA documents, and applied the NEPA process. At the TVA I would often peruse a letter, report, or article before it left the office. My coworkers liked to ask, "Would you Janitize this for me?" Since mid-1999 I've work from home, publishing a one-page newsletter that I sell to television stations.
I love words and react to misspelled, misused, and misplaced words the same way a neatnik responds to a crooked picture on the wall--I itch to fix them.
